Description:
The Rangoon Kaamdani is a collector's dupatta — and a statement in itself.
Spanning 2.5 yards across multiple panels, this piece is crafted from medium-weight pure silk and hand-embellished by master artisans using traditional kaamdani techniques passed down through generations. The palette — teal, royal purple, mustard, magenta, and burnt orange — is bold yet harmonious, designed to complement both deep and light bridal ensembles.
The Craft
Each dupatta is worked by hand with intricate sequins, seed pearls, katdana, and tilla gold thread embroidery. No two pieces are identical. The density of the handwork makes this a true heirloom piece — one that photographs beautifully and wears even better.
How to Style It
- Drape over a solid ivory or champagne lehenga to let the dupatta lead
- Pair with a deep jewel-toned gharara for a maximalist bridal look
- Layer over a structured gown for a fusion editorial moment
- Use as a pallu drape over one shoulder for Nikkah or Walima
Occasions
Bridal, Nikkah, Walima, Mehndi, Eid, formal dinners, and destination weddings
